1. How do the FormsDesigner and Analysis pages differ?

FormsDesigner provides an easy-to-use design canvas where you can create custom forms online without any programming. Groups within an organization can collaboratively design forms, and since it is online, the groups members can be anywhere in the world. Once a form is designed, a simple click on the design canvas will generate a Form Template and a Report Template.

The primary roles of the Analysis pages is to generate and view reports of data collected using the forms designed in the Forms Designer. TheAnalysis pages are also where you assign roles for who can collect and submit data for the organization (i.e. the Information Providers), and to assign which Form Templates should be used.

2. Why are there separate logins for the FormsDesigner and the Analysis pages?

We believe that there will be great benefits to the community as a whole if organizations are willing to share the forms that they design with similar organizations, particularly as it relates to the public sector. The platform that we provide makes it possible for multiple organizations to even collaborate on the design of forms.

The handling of data submitted by an organization's own Inspectors (Information Providers) is likely desired to remain private. Therefore, we offer an opportunity for the initial creator of a form to add groups and users to that group from other organizations. Any data submitted using these forms is still provide to one organization, though the form itself may have been collobaratively created by nultiple organizations.

3. Why do Javascript, cookies and popups have to be enabled?

A key goal of ours is to deliver software as a service (commonly referred to as SaaS) to eliminate the need for our customers to have to install and support complex backend systems.

To meet the goal of a compelling user experience that matches that of a desktop application, we need to have these capabilities enabled. When you login, cookies allow us to securely handle your interactions with our servers. Popups allow us to bring up certain windows only when they are needed based on actions that you chose.

We do in fact use a temporary cookie to keep track of your user name as you surf the site, but this cookie disappears when you close your browser, and we don't use it for anything else. We also employ JavaScript to make some of our forms, help windows, and page previews work. So if you've disabled either JavaScript or cookies in your browser, or if your security settings are too high, or if you're using some third-party product that disables these technologies, you will find this site painful if not impossible to use.

4. How do I enable Javascript, cookies and popups?

In Internet Explorer, setting the Internet Zone to "High" security will block all cookies, except from sites you add to your list of "Trusted Sites." Here are a few pages that may help you to enable cookies and/or adjust your security settings:

If your browser isn't covered on one of those pages, try a Google search: enter "enable cookies" plus the name of your browser.

You should also make sure your browser is set up so that JavaScript is enabled. Here are a few pages with simple instructions on how to re-enable JavaScript in various browsers:

To enable JavaScript in Internet Explorer 7:

  1. Select "Internet Options" from Internet Explorer's "Tools" menu.
  2. Click the "Security" tab at the top of the "Internet Options" window.
  3. In the "Select a zone to view or change security settings" pane, make sure "Internet" is selected.
  4. Under "Security level for this zone," click the "Custom level..." button.
  5. In the "Security Settings - Internet Zone" window that pops up, scroll down to the "Scripting" section near the bottom.
  6. Under "Active Scripting," click the "Enable" button.
  7. Click "OK" to close the "Security Settings - Internet Zone" window.
  8. Click "OK" to close the "Internet Options" window.

6. Will I be locked into a long term contract?

Not at all. We are currently in beta, however you will always be able to cancel at any time.

7. What support must my IT department provide?

Your IT department is not required to do anything to support our offering. Our goal is to provide a worry-free service to our customers. All that is needed to design forms and analyze reports is a web connection and an IE or FireFox browser. Your information providers / inspectors will need a standard Windows based laptop or tablet PC to run the client application. Wide-area wireless connectivity will be beneficial but is not required.

8. What role can my IT department play?

If desired, the IT staff can use the data generated in the Aridhio Reports to support more strategic organzational innitiatives than just moving around and storing bytes. We can handle that part. The Report can be generated directly into an Excel spreadsheet or into a commma-separated-value (CSV) format. CSV is a common format suitable to be exported into many other process management / workflow programs that you may already be using.

9. Is my data locked in?

No. You are always able to extract your data in a myriad of formats including PDF, rich text format (compatible with Microsoft Word) or plain text with the basic account, and also into Microsoft Excel and CSV with a Premium account.

11. What is a Form Template?

The Form Template is the designed form with no data entered into it, e.g. a blank form for recording data for fire prevention inspections.

12. What is a Form Instance?

A Form Instance is a particular instance of data entered onto a Form Template, e.g. data collected onto a sprinkler inspection form, reflecting an inspection performed by Fire Marshall Janet Smith on January 10th at the Public library.

13. What is a Report Template?

When a Form Template is generated, a reporting template is also generated and serves as a means to display reports of specific Form Instances.

14. What is an Analyst?

An analyst has privileges to generate reports of submitted Form Instances. With administrative privileges, an analyst can also assign which Form Templates the organization should be using, assign who can submit form instances for the organization and can also add and manage other analysts.

15. What is an Information Provider?

The Information Providers use the client application that is downloaded to laptops and Tablet PCs as well as any Form Templates assigned for use by the organization. When performing an inspection, the Information Provider will invoke the desired Form Template complete it onsite then submit to the Aridhio servers.

16. What is an OrgCode?

At the time that an account for an organization is created, an OrgCode is assigned that is used in various administrative cases for the account.

17. What is an AccountId?

Each Information Provider is assigned an AccountId. The AccountId and OrgCode are configured on the client device to validate all submissions of Form Instances.

18. Why do I need to download anything to a mobile device (laptop or Tablet PC)?

Often, Information Providers may have to work / collect data in areas where they may not have an internet connection. This will not prevent them from perfoming say an inspection. Then the collected data can be uploaded whenever they again have an internet connection.
